Released the year after MJ’s third and final retirement, the Air Jordan XIX is probably best remembered at this point as being paired with the bred AJIVs in 2008’s 4/19 Countdown Pack. This sample gives us a glimpse into what could have been a well-received release, had Michael and the Wizards succeeded in their last-ditch push toward the 2003 NBA Playoffs.
These would have been perfect for home games at the MCI Center, but instead, Mike called it quits, met a beautiful Cuban girl and got inducted into the Hall of Fame.
