If you’ve watched much Seinfeld, seeing Jason Alexander in the Jenny Craig banner ads floating around the web probably crack you up.  His character George Costanza is probably the most famous ‘person’ to don the Nike Cortez, but it’s more than just a few foibles on camera that kept the Cortez on retail shelves for about 35 years now.  Nike Sportswear recently got up with designers from Shanghai’s W+K to celebrate the occasion, commissioning a series of paintings depicting various renditions of the iconic ridge-soled runner.  From 1975’s original to 2010’s insane Year of the Tiger package, take a look at W+K behind the scenes in more photos after the jump.  via FRESHNESS
