Nike Air Penny III – Eggplant | Available

Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway arrived in Phoenix the year Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant won the first of their three-straight NBA titles.  Once on the cusp of establishing a similar dynasty with Shaq in Orlando, Penny’s microfracture and other injuries lead to the former All-NBA point guard missing nearly half of his games as a Sun.  And though they were originally released in 1997 when Penny was still a Magic, these new Nike Air Penny IIIs serve as a reminder of his time in the desert, thanks to a nice eggplant Foamposite ‘wave’ and midsole.  One of the true classics of late ’90s Nike Basketball, the Eggplant Air Penny III is available now from Extra Butter.
