Every so often a great colorway manages to get stuck in the filters and never makes it to production. We’ve witnessed a number of scrapped samples that would’ve been sure-fire hits had a release occurred, and these Nike Air Max 1 samples from the Spring of 2009 just adds to the case against the scrapping of great samples. This white, black, and grey colorway features a bottom sole of purple and green with purple and black insoles. The black and white stripes on the center panel isn’t as animalistic as a zebra-print nor is it as uniform as candy-striping – we’ll call it something inbetween. The toebox also features a tighter mesh-like material that would be a welcome addition to current Air Max 1 releases.
