‘United We Rise’ was the theme for USA Basketball as they sought to recapture the Olympic gold medal after a disappointing stretch in Athens. Kobe Bryant and company made good in Beijing, but the poor performance from USAB in the 2006 FIBA World Championships is a sour memory yet to be erased. Kobe himself won’t be there, instead opting to nurse a variety of dings in advance of an attempted threepeat, but the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘United We Rise’ USAB Edition lets the Mamba be in Turkey in spirit. These joints keep with the USAB/Nike USA Olympic tradition of adding navy and red accents to a white base, but what sets this ZKV apart from the other USAB edition is its use of a pixelated graphic on the ‘overlay’ sections. These should hit retailers shortly as the 2010 FIBA games are a few short weeks off, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.
