Six special children were selected for the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle VII, and with the help of some of Nike’s top designers, each pair was personally crafted with special themes and inspiration. We already showed you the Nike Air Force 1 and Air Jordan III, so here’s a look at the rest of the collection, designed by Shelby Lee (Free Run+), MaryKate Hughes (Air Zenyth), Cooper Ladd (SB P-Rod 2.5), and Claire Logue (Zoom Vomero). A wide varities or colors, patterns, and graphics were used and each designer clearly had a personal inspiration in mind; Shelby Lee’s Free Run+ features hearts and shout-outs to both the U.S.A. and China, while MaryKate’s Air Zenyth features a special biblical quote lined inside the ankle of the shoe. Cooper’s P-Rod 2.5 features special insoles with Star Wars light-sabres, while Claire’s Zoom Vomero is a tribute to the Wild Wild West.
