With plans of a completely changed construction of the Nike SB Dunk for 2011, Nike performed a post-mortem examination of the Nike SB Dunk, pointing out the possible causes of “death”, and using those points of focus, the 2011 Nike SB Dunk will be better than ever. With a Phylon midsole for better impact protection, a cored outsole for a lighter package, and a new tread pattern for better grip, the Nike SB Dunk will certainly be the best skate shoe it could possibly be. A change might have been due, because the SB Dunk of old was merely a Zoom-cushioned, tongue-fattened version of the classic basketball shoe.
