Sneaker News brings you the latest info from the sneaker world around the clock and this weekend we got a good look at Jordan Brand’s footwear drops for the first two months of 2011.  Among the new models on tap for early next year is the Air Jordan Flight TR ’97, which is pictured above in a brand new upcoming colorway.  Even if your first impression of the shoe’s design might be misleading, the name pretty accurately reflects what’s going on here.  You get the sunray stitching from Air Jordan XII and ballistic nylon along the mudguard a la AJXIII, both of which saw colorways hit in 1997.  The overall shape of the shoe and its sole are vaguely reminiscent of the late 80s and they even feature an Air Jordan 3 traction pattern, making for one of the less obvious and more ‘original’ looking models that draws on the AJ Legacy.  Click below for more shots and let us know what you think of JB’s latest retro-mashup. via Taobao.
