It’s not quite a hybrid but the Air Jordan Evolution ’85 does a good job of capturing some of the key aesthetics that have defined Jordan Brand and the Air Jordan Legacy over the last quarter-century. The colorway pictured above is quintessential Air Jordan, a black base with red and white accents like you might expect to see from MJ and the Chicago Bulls during another run deep into June. These joints reach as far back as the AJ3 for Elephant print and AJV for its slotted perforations, but then add an unprecedented forefoot strap and unique tongue pull-triangle to make them feel fresh. Sneaker News reported these for sale at FinishLine but they were quickly removed as the Bred Jordan Evolution ’85 is set to hit JB accounts next month as part of the first Spring 2011 shipment.
