Nike Sportswear has done a great job resurrecting forgotten models and cult favorites in recent years, and here’s another Nike Ruhning gem you might know of but have never seen, finally set for a new round of colorways. The Nike Air Kukini takes its name from swift-footed Hawaiian messengers but the shoe was actually designed for triathletes, from its lightweight, breathable and quick-drying materials to the ease with which you can pull ’em on your feet. One womens and two mens colorways are split between tonal and contrasting application of their proto-Flywire enclosure, with the tonal black joints adding a ‘+’ pattern to the neoprene layer and the ladies joints going for a checked base.
