Vans Sk8-Hi ‘V38Disco’ – Black – Sequins

Vans Sk8-Hi ‘V38Disco’ – Black – Sequins

201101260218176181

We’ve seen a surprising amount of disco ball looks from the major sneaker brands over the past year, most of which go for a scored look to emulate their inspiration.  But with the Vans Sk8-Hi ‘V38Disco’, the uneven sparkly effect is achieved by an almost checkerboard patterned array of black, white, grey and red sequins.  This makes them both unavoidably shiny and distinctly Off the Wall, a nickname that could be applied to describe the quirky ‘V38’ distinction, cos they seem to share very little in common with the V38 Medallion joints we saw last year.  Whatever the naming convention, these are among the most eye-catching kicks we’ve seen all year, so click the jump below to see more shots and stick with Sneaker News for word on a US release.  via Dunk
