We’ve seen a surprising amount of disco ball looks from the major sneaker brands over the past year, most of which go for a scored look to emulate their inspiration. But with the Vans Sk8-Hi ‘V38Disco’, the uneven sparkly effect is achieved by an almost checkerboard patterned array of black, white, grey and red sequins. This makes them both unavoidably shiny and distinctly Off the Wall, a nickname that could be applied to describe the quirky ‘V38’ distinction, cos they seem to share very little in common with the V38 Medallion joints we saw last year.
