The Nike Air Footscape and its variations have become the world’s most famous asymmetrically-laced sneakers over the past several years, but here’s a new release that pushes the avant garde bar even higher.  The Nike Lunar Orbit+ woulda been right at home on the Merry Pranksters’ school bus, cos these joints take unconventional design further than pretty much any runner we can remember.  They go with a Footscape-aping off-center look, but it’s a zipper instead of laces and the raised diamond aerodynamic pattern makes for perhaps the most innovative and aesthetically pleasing new runners this year.  Challenge Red and Black pairs are featured in more photos after the jump, so click thorugh to get a better look and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release.  via LTD Online
