When it comes to sneakers, the word ‘chambray’ is likely to have its strongest charge when discussing an Air Jordan VII with that nickname, a pair that released almost exactly five years ago. It’s used to denote a shade of soft blue on those joints but the word comes from a lightweight fabric we often see on springy button-downs and Vans is capitalizing on the familiar look for several new releases this spring. Key among them are the Vans Half Cabs pictured above, both of which contrast suede with chambray underlays for a look that’s something akin to letterboxed static. Pairs in black and navy blue offer different choices depending on the garments with which they’re worn so click through to see more and grab yours today from Primitive.
