The Looney Tunes aren’t the only massive hit cartoon intimately connected to sneakers.  Takehiko Inoue’s Slam Dunk is a basketball-themed manga whose characters can be seen rocking Nike and Jordan Brand sneakers and had contributed to the design of a 2009 Hyperize.  The Slam Dunk x Nike Zoom Brave IV feels to be an even better fit, this model not quite as popular here in the States as it is in Japan, where other ‘jeweled’ kicks like the Zoom Flight 95 are among the favorite retro releases.  The Zoom Brave IV features a colorway similar to the Hyperize with details on the laces and tongue more overt than the vague tonal drawings on the white Flywire panels.  Click through to see more images of this model that Nike Harajuku will offer lottery drawings to determine sales weekend, and stick with Sneaker News for updates in case they make a limited US run.
