Earlier today Sneaker News showed you the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury, a refreshed take on the popular Nike Air Diamond Fury from Ken Griffey Jr’s signature line. It’s a growing trend in Beaverton, OR – taking classic models with celebrated designs and revamping them with contemporary technology, and like the Air Max Griffey Fury, the upcoming Air Max Barkley is a prime example of that movement. Here’s a look at the Air Max Barkley, which features the Air Max2 CB ’94 silhouette refinished with a one-piece composite upper with Hyperfuse and the unaltered Max Air cushioned outsole. In addition, these three new colorways seem to follow Charles Barkley timeline as an NBA pro (White/Old Royal-Gym Red for the Sixers, Black/Safety Orange-Pure Purple for the Suns, Action Red/Black-White for the Rockets). The Air Max Barkley is set for a release for the Spring 2012 season with a price-tag o $130. Would you have preferred these colorways on the original model? Check out all three below and let us know what you think. via CK.
