As the sneakerhead scene has exploded, lifestyle kicks having come into vogue and the whole ‘cut the fat’ mentality expressed following the global financial meltdown a few years back, we’ve seen a move toward classic styles like vulcanized soles and gum rubber bottoms. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star has featured the former for so long that the latter is essentially invisible, so for this new collaboration with CLOT, the One Star applied a stripe of gum along the vulc sole’s kickplate. This makes for a nice contrtast against grey suede and navy canvas colorways, so click through to see more angles and look for these at Converse First String retailers on Tuesday, September 6th. via HB
