What the Duke Blue Devils have been for Kobe Bryant in recent years, we might be seeing from the LeBron James-Kentucky Wildcats union: super-elite global basketball superstar who skipped college entirely hooks up with a traditional powerhouse whose historically blue and white uniforms have added a bit of black in the past decade or so. And that just means a bunch of dope player exclusive colorways for UK, and coming up soon after Midnight Madness sets in will be this new Nike LeBron 9 home PE. This edition finds its colorblocking flipped and then the black sections made white when compared with the ‘away’ edition we’d been seeing, but the biggest single difference here is the ‘UK’ tongue logo whose place was held by King James’ signature on the other pair. Does this mean it’s only a matter of time before the Kentucky ‘away’ and Ohio State PEs both feature their schools’ respective logos?
