Not all of us are 6’10” and can hit the three with ease, so for many sneakerheads, the closest we’ve been to jaw-dropping acts of athleticism on the basketball court is with a pesky metal bracket securing a corrugated backboard and a rim that practically snaps itself.  The Nike Zoom KD IV is a nice triangulation of these influences for KD collectors, an insanely-colored splatter-printed colorway that comes in a special package complete with foam Nerf basketball and hoop.  You probably don’t need the Zoom KD IV’s Adaptive Fit system and Hyperfuse construction to nail a few dunks on the door-hung Hasbro hoop, but that does nothing to discredit this as one of the year’s more interesting Nike Basketball special packaging add-ins.  Kevin Durant already has his and was spotted wearing them in OKC Sunday night, so check them out with additional images awaiting your click on the jump below, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for the Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’ release date, currently slated for November.
