It’s pretty tough to top the recent run of releases for the above-pictured cross-trainer from Nike Sportswear. The Nike Air Trainer SC II has been on a tear of late, the OG colorways released along with a Total Orange-accented edition that could have just as easily been a 1990 original. The reason these three were met with such a warm reception is that they evoke images of a particular time in history, but the design is so perfect that you’re left with a timeless product. Perhaps that’s even more true of this new tonal grey release, a colorway that’s sufficiently versatile to anchor your everyday rotation, and one that could very easily be given a shot of extra life via fifty-four inches of vibrant swapped laces.
