While all of Jordan Brand’s hybrid designs can be traced back to the Dub Zero that released in commemoration of twenty years of the Air Jordan Legacy, the model pictured above traces its roots and derives its name from one that hit two years later. The Jordan Son of Mars refers to this the fact that JB is doing the right thing again, combining elements from Air Jordans III-VI with a little XX sprinkled on top, a suitable sequel to the Spiz’ike that came out of the gate with a ‘Pop Art’ colorway the two shared. This new Son of Mars goes with a Concord-leaning colorup that’s heavy on purple without the familiar aqua tones that tend to accompany it, a crisp style that’ll be available at select retailers in full family size runs starting Saturday, April 7th. Let us know if you’ll head out over the weekend to grab these at shops like West in New York, or you can lock them up early by buying now on eBay.
