We’ve seen a couple of occasions where Nike Sportswear issued a hybrid design drawing upon a beloved classic either before or alongside its retro release, but none have seen the gap between drawn out like the Nike Air Current. First making itself known to younger sneakerheads by way of the Air Max 90 hybrid (notice how their angular cutouts reveal a common background) and its Huarache and Moire mashups, the Air Current is now back in its original form. This pair opts for Volt hits, offering a more energetic approach than the lime-accented 1990 original, and you can see more images after the jump before buying yours at select NSW stores like Kith.
