Silver Surfer Dunk Low

NIKE DUNK LOW WEEK

The infusion of our favorite Marvel Superhero characters into sneakers has been more of a fantasy scenario than a reality (branding issues being the primary roadblock to any true Marvel x Nike partnership), but some unofficial bones have been thrown our way. Of course, the Fantastic Four Pack of 2006 is one that comes to mind, but prior to that Nike had a unique interest in the intergalactic traveler known as Silver Surfer; two colorways of the Dunk Low as well as two Air Max 90s were released in honor of the Silver Surfer, with Surfer graphics on the insoles solidifying the true intent of these releases. Of the bunch, this colorway of the Nike Dunk Low deserves some extra attention thanks to the sleek colorway, unique mesh-like layer on the toe, center panel, and ankle, and of course, the Silver Surfer insole. These were released only at select retailers and zeroing in on a pair isn’t an easy task, as even the online find-anything medium known as eBay is a hit-or-miss affair. More of this Classics Revisited Dunk Low below, so give it a look and let us know if you’re finding out about the Silver Surfer Dunks for the first time today!
