Vans set the tone for their departure from familiar animal prints last September when they collaborated with Supreme on the playful ‘Flies’ Pack, and now they’ve managed to blend that whimsical interpretation with the traditional menswear thread that’s been running through their catalog for some time now. The Vans California Authentic 59 ‘Birds’ brings together a couple of highly detailed canvas prints (which look considerably more washed out than in the now obviously filtered preview images) borrowed from the Mad Men era. These just dropped at select retailers including New York’s Kith and you can see more images after the jump.
