Platform shoes aren’t making a comeback for guys anytime soon (unless you count the ’90s Uptempos series’ notorious tooling), but for ladies, they’re considerably more common. A natural switch-up from the classic heel, a design like the Vans Sk8-Hi Platform offers a feminine boost the likes of which would have made one an envied grunge goddess back in the ‘alternative’ days.
