The Air Jordan IX marks the sixth release of the Air Jordan Doernbecher.
The lasered feather detailing on the upper refers to Oswaldo’s nickname of “Pollito”.
Oswaldo’s name is embroidered in old-time font on the heel-tabs.
Oswaldo’s favorite number is 17. It replaces the original ’23’ on the Air Jordan IX.
The red and green outsoles are a homage to his Oswaldo’s hometown of Queretaro, Mexico.
“Pollito”, which translates to “little chicken”, is Oswaldo’s nickname.
September 13th, labeled on both tongues, represents Oswaldo’s birthday.
