Nike has emphasized the “green” effect that has been produced by Flyknit, where waste is considerably minimized as the shoe upper is built with individual threads. What Nike has been rather modest about is this (see above) – the ability to create an unlimited array of radical colorways. Whether its the basic two-toned interweave of the Black and Volt or HTM’s “Snow Style” in the recent Chukka release, Flyknit has enabled Nike’s innovators to realize what was at one point limited to the imagination (or computer software).
