The Nike LeBron X Low colorway connected with his childhood AAU team turns out to in fact not be inspired by those Summit Lake Hornets. But the design is indeed linked to a squad of up-and-comers from King James’ hometown, the Akron Aeros. This Cleveland Indians Double-A affiliate adopted the kid-friendly colors, logo and name in 1997 during the golden age of expressive minor league presentations. This colorup also effectively celebrates Ohio’s aerospace tradition and will likely fly off shelves when they release on the first Saturday in August.
