The world ‘alder’ is a common name for the genus Alnus, which comprises around thirty tree and shrub species. They’re all over the place across the Northern Hemisphere, including the red alder that’s found along the west coast, including the Cascade Mountains that begin their ascent just to the east of Nike’s headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. It’s with that background that we welcome a new black Alder, as in the Nike ACG Air Alder Low. This new lowtop trail shoe brings a bit of new school construction to the All Conditions Gear lineup, which hasn’t used too much Hyperfuse or other cutting edge tech aside from the Flywire-equipped Ashiko. Check them out in more photos below, let us know what you think about synthetics furthering their dominant grasp into the outdoor market and grab a pair of ACG Air Alders today from Premier.
