Major League pitcher Jeremy Guthrie has been in the big leagues for ten years now, and a few years back, the noted sneakerhead had a chance run-in with a gentleman whose collaborative sneaker CV is quite possibly the pair-for-pair most valuable of anyone who’s made that many pairs. The current Royal was with Baltimore visiting Detroit, happened to meet Eminem‘s bodyguard at a hotel gym, had a chance to make some Nike Air Trainer 1.3 Max 360s and was encouraged by a Nike rep to include an Eminem logo along with Guthrie’s own ‘JG46’ in anticipation of a future gift. Apparently, JG and Em haven’t crossed paths again so Guthrie still has his pair, but he was fortunate enough to get Slim Shady’s John Hancock on the pair as you’ll see in more photos below.
