South African sneaker boutique Shelflife joined forces with local artist Dr. Zulu to give Johannesburg its very own version of the classic runner, the New Balance 574. Given the title of “City of Gold” which plays into Johannesburg’s nickname, the sneaker features a bevy of exclusives ranging from the yellow and dark grey accents with African tribal patterns hitting the velcro N logo that replaces the usual reflective 3M treatment. Also featured on the laces is a Parktown Prawn king cricket aesthetic which makes its way to an original hangtag as well. What do you think of this latest creation? While the sneaker has released at South African retailers, the 574 will be available April 28th.
