A few Summers ago, the Swoosh reintroduced the Nike Air Flow retro back into its lineup in a number of OG colorways that put the neoprene mesh and suede upper back in the limelight. At a similar time, the Nike Roshe Run was making its debut and unexpectedly selling out. So what happens when you combine the two silhouettes? You might just come across this Nike Kaishi, a sneaker that utilizes the breathable mesh of the Roshe Run while giving it that lightweight midsole with the added plus of extra support thanks to an upper reminiscent of the Air Flow. The sneaker does see some changes to the lower half thanks to an aerodynamic carve swooping down the back. Today we get a glimpse at the basic black and white iteration, but we’re definitely excited to see what this new silhouette rooted in an understated classic has to offer in the future.
