New Balance 574 “Pennant Collection” – Boston

Not too long ago, the city of Boston was in a serious title drought. The Celtics hadn’t hoisted a trophy since 1986 and the Red Sox were nearing the century mark. Then 2004 happened. Without that, we probably wouldn’t be seeing New Balance coin their latest NB574 with the “Pennant Collection” signifier. It doesn’t look to be a coincidence that the sneaker sports a deep red and navy aesthetic in an unofficial nod to the Sox. The ‘N’ logo even features a wool construction to imitate the retro feel of old-school baseball caps. What do you think?
