Though the Nike Air Odyssey isn’t a silhouette that garners much praise for its minimal frame and simplistic aesthetic, the 1987 classic is certainly welcome in the current landscape where so many other models are crowned for offering the exact same in a sartorial sense. Originally released as the Nike Odyssey in 1983, the “Air” came years later, and today, the nostalgic model has made a quiet yet impactful return with the budding “Iridescent Swoosh” scheme. Easily identified by its moniker, the shoe employs multi-colored branding at the mid foot while otherwise simplified with an all-black blend of mesh and suede construction. Fashioned in an Air Unit in lieu of a wedge as with the OG model, a white midsole rest above a black outer with Phylon implementation for extreme cushioning. Take a look at the elder style below and let us know what other models you’d like to see return from this late-80’s era.
