Nike’s global expansion is hitting home, as the brand has apparently outgrown its current facilities and is looking to increase the size of their World Headquarters in the near future. Their number of employees is booming – a 64 percent increase in overall hires has left the company rather cramped and now the company is looking to spend in excess of $150 million to add space. Construction could start as early as the first three months of 2015, but of course the Swoosh is keeping the planned rather hushed. A few details are as follows – an 887,000 square-foot building will be added north of the Tiger Woods Center and nearly a third of the building is going to be used in what Nike describes as auxiliary space. More parking for employees will be added, and the berm – a man made wall to keep onlookers out of the property in an effort to ensure more privacy – will be extended to accommodate the added structures. Be sure to check out a graphic of the planned addition after the click and stay tuned for more Nike release date udpates, news, and more right here on Sneaker News.
