Puma has offered heritage models in recent years like every other brand, but the German cat has also evinced a distinctly ‘Euro’ sensibility, emphasizing sleek and luxurious lifestyle sneakers while a good portion of their archives remain untapped. But with the Disc Blaze enjoying a resurgence right in time for the 20th anniversary and other early ’90s Trinomic runners returning, it seems we may have turned a corner with how they approach each catalog’s distribution. The Puma Trinomic XS850 OG is a fine example of a fairly obscure shoe by today’s standards, but one that perfectly exemplifies the trail running market of 1992 when it was introduced.
