Nike is dominating New York City this All-Star Weekend. They already had a pop-up SNKRS shop to help launch their brand new App, and their latest endeavor is the Nike Zoom City Arena. Featuring an LED basketball court surface (you might remember this very tech-savvy court debuted in China under the “House of Mamba” name earlier last year) Nike is attempting to push the future of basketball through the use of interaction between court and player. The possibilities of graphics and layouts on the playing surface is virtually limitless as drills were accompanied by arrows instructing the player where to go while the more traditional lines found on the hardwood remain. Check out a brief video of the temporary arena and be sure to reserve your pass to check it out in person here.
