The Nike Tiempo ’94 Channels The Way Of Kendo

Nike Tiempo 94 Nsw Way Of Kendo 001

It’s almost as if Nike is laughing in Kanye’s face ever since he proclaimed that the lineage of the all red sneaker was dead. The Swoosh has since ramped up production of all red models, some even conspicuously mirroring the Red October construction (think the Nike Air Foamposite Pro, that Nike Dunk High, and the Nike Kobe 9 EXT). This Nike Tiempo ’94 shares the suede touches, all red aesthetic and even a heel construction that features a familiar texture when compared to the Red Octobers, but at least Nike has cooked up an interesting story behind this upcoming release. On the tongue you’ll notice a cartoonish figure resembling a Japanese Kendo martial art fighter complete with a mask and headdress. It’s an interesting take for a traditionally soccer shoe, but if you’re not feeling the addition, you can always remove the optional dog-eared tongue for a simpler aesthetic. Available today at international spots like Titolo.
