Converse gives a little space travel history to the Chuck Taylor All Star 70’s this fall, with two unique new prints inspired by NASA’s space exploration and technology of the 1970’s. The premium First String edition of the Chuck Taylor constructed with the same specifications of those produced in the 70’s features two distinct aerospace prints across their uppers. The first in black, white, and red features a design honors astronauts that traveled to the moon with geometric shapes intended to mimic the look of a spacecraft, complete with 3M reflective details, while the toe cap and tongue are ribbed to mirror the look of a spacesuit. The second design’s graphic is inspired by the splash-down balloons that helped astronauts and their aircraft return safely to earth, with premium details including leather toecaps and marbled blue outsoles. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 “Space Collection” will be available Friday, October 23 for $120 USD at Converse retail stores, select First String retailers, and online at Converse.com.
