As usual with almost every sneaker brand, the current Chinese zodiac year is celebrated on a few special edition sneakers. Being that 2016 is the Year of the Monkey, get ready for a plethora of monkey-themed kicks, like this upcoming edition of the adidas D Lillard 2. The special Year of the Monkey makeover features Damian’s second signature shoe in a predominantly black upper with a matte base and glossy tonal graphics across the silhouette. Along with all the black are blue, red, and gold accents to complete the year of the Monkey’s traditional color palette. No official release date for this D Lillard 2 or any other adidas hoops model within the Year of the Monkey collection has been announced yet, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for further information.
