1996 was one of Nike’s proudest years as it released a slew of unforgettable silhouettes across various sports. One of the true cult-hit gems was the Zoom Spiridon – a futuristic running shoe boosted by full-length Zoom Air and a snazzy design that made it such a hit at the turn of the century and throughout the 2000s. The shoe re-released in 2003 in smaller quantities, and just a few years ago Nike transformed the Spiridon into a basketball shoe called the Zoom Don. Still, appetites aren’t satisfied, but this Summer’s big re-release should ease the hunger pangs a bit because we’re learning that the Nike Zoom Spiridon is headed for yet another release. You can bet that the OG black/red and perhaps the royal/silver and the royal/red will make their way back, but stay tuned as we’ll bring you first looks when they arrive.
