Space Jam is back! The beloved mid-90s kids live action/animated movie starring Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny, and host of former NBA stars like Charles Barkley and Larry Johnson is finally getting a sequel, and LeBron James has been chosen as the film’s new basketball superstar. Justin Lin, director of four of the Fast & Furious movies and the upcoming Star Trek Beyond, been tapped to lead the film, which at this point is still in the screenplay writing stages. After getting experience acting in his first major motion picture alongside Amy Schumer in Trainwreck, it looks like LeBron is ready to take his talents to the big screen once again in Space Jam 2’s starring role. What other NBA players will make appearances? Will there be a LeBron “Space Jam” sneaker that reaches legendary status like the Air Jordan 11? Is Bill Murray going to make an appearance? There are lots of important questions to still be answered, so stay tuned.
