Out of nowhere, one of the last coveted original colorways of the Nike Air Huarache has returned. It’s the “Purple Punch” look, which hasn’t been on the market since the shoe’s initial release way back in 1991. Sported by the likes of Michael Johnson and Jerry Seinfeld back in the day, the long-awaited comeback of the white, black, and bright purple colorway will have retro runner fans pleased, even with a couple of slight modifications: mesh instead of nylon on the toe box and standard Huarache logo tags on the tongue instead of the OG version’s unique Nike logo patches. You can get a good look at the brand-new “Purple Punch” release here, and pick up a pair now directly from Nike.
