Three years ago, Sneaker Freaker unleashed one of the best New Balance 998 collaborations in history – a purple/grey/white concoction inspired by the “Tassie Devil”. Today, the Australia-based sneaker publication unveils an indirect follow-up to that classic with the “Tassie Tiger”, a dashing colorway of the New Balance 997.5 hybrid sneaker based on an attractive terracotta red color scheme. These shoes are a tribute to the extinct “Tassie Tiger”, an indigenous marsupial that has gone extinct nearly a century ago. The online release of these will go down on July 16th on the Sneaker Freaker webstore, with a special Friends-and-Family packaging being released at an in-store event on July 15th.
