Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most electric players in the NFL today and while he may have been fined $18,000 for wearing his Craig Sager cleats, the receiver is letting up on the customs or PEs this Holiday 2016 season. The New York Football Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles tonight, and in honor of the Christmas season, Nike outfitted Odell in one of the most unique takedowns of the Nike Vapor Untouchable to date.
The Nike Vapor Untouchable Odell Beckham Christmas PE features a unique cartoon print throughout the white upper that pays homage to Odell’s traditions during his High School playing days. The cleat utilizes actual blades of grass hand-cut by Isidore Newman School Coach Stewart in the icy cleat bottom. Nike also is proud of the fact that this custom took only two hours to make, pushing production to an even more efficient timeline.
“The Builder Lab focuses on creating quick turn product samples, including custom footwear that solves the needs of the world’s best athletes,” Mike Yonker, VP of Innovation at Nike said. “It’s a component of our manufacturing innovation program. The Builder Lab team uses both traditional hand craft techniques and cutting-edge technologies.”
