Paul George Has Another Nike Basketball Shoe In The Works

Paul George Nike Pg2

Updated January 20th, 2018: Nike has officially unveiled the Nike PG 2.

After a ceremonious debut back in February, the Nike PG 1 has become one of the top-selling basketball shoes of the first half of 2017. Nike hasn’t let up in any way in terms of colorway options, and the recent introduction to NIKEiD only expanded the options exponentially. The shoes are just a few months old, but we’re already getting a peek at the next Nike PG shoe; while it is unclear if this is a Nike PG 2 signature shoe or the first takedown model, similar to what the Kobe Venomenon, KD Trey 5, and LeBron Soldier are to the Kobe, KD, and LeBron signature lines.

The design is revealed to very simple, with mesh uppers, PG’s signature, and his logo on the tongue. The placement of the Swoosh changes dramatically as Nike opts for a reverse look at the heel. The curvy midsole also suggests that this unnamed Paul George model may have REACT technology as it resembles the newly introduced Hyperdunk 2017.

With most of Nike’s signature shoe models approaching the end of their life cycles, we have signature shoes like the Kyrie 4, LeBron 14, and the next installment of the Kobe AD series to look forward to, with the Kyrie 4 likely to debut this winter.
