The 2017 NBA Finals was an underrated showcase of Nike Sportswear footwear, with guys like Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Draymond Green, JR Smith, and more rocking some sweet heat before the games. One of the shoes spotted during the Finals was the Flyknit Trainer, which first appeared in the original white/black colorway on Kevin Durant’s feet, and later as a Championship PE. As it turns out, Nike has plans to bring back one of the most popular Flyknit shoes of all-time, and it all starts on July 27th as the White/Black colorway will make its official return.
At one point, the Flyknit Trainer in white/black had re-sale value of up to $700, so the demand clearly exists. Currently, retailer Titolo has the 2017 Retro of the Flyknit Trainer listed at 209.90 Swiss Francs, which converts to roughly $220 USD. However, the US MSRP may be lower. Stay tuned for a release next Thursday.
Update: European retailers have the MSRP listed at 165 Euro.
