Last week brought a grainy preview of the upcoming Air More Uptempo “NYC” offering that is part of Nike’s “City Pack” paying tribute to three of the most influential cities in sneaker culture. Debuting alongside the pairs for Chicago and Atlanta, this particular iteration dawns a primarily grey color scheme with hits of navy and white that create an overall simple aesthetic. Simple colorways are often when the Uptempo thrives, as the loud design is more than enough to draw in attention to the wearer. The obvious focal point of this selection is the “NYC” lettering that replacers the customary AIR on the sneaker’s upper.
