When it comes to a widely acclaimed silhouette like the adidas NMD R1, sometimes simple colorways are the best colorways. The Three Stripes understands this, and they’ve adorned their foremost lifestyle silhouette with two simple colorways: a refined olive and a stately black. Both shoes offer a straightforward upper with tonal three stripe detailing on the midfoot/adidas branding on the heel and tongue. Both shoes also feature tonal blocks and a full-length white Boost midsole. The most interesting details on each shoe arrive via the red heel tab and orange sockliner, possibly nodding to the flight tag and lining of classic bomber jackets, a piece of apparel that’s been known to prominently feature olive and black as well. There’s no release date for either of these clean NMD R1s yet, but look for them to arrive on adidas.com sometime this summer.
