The MLB All-Star game takes over Washington DC next week, as the top players from both leagues will converge upon Nationals Stadium to determine which league will have bragging rights until the World Series. With endorsees like hometown DC hero Bryce Harper participating in the game, Under Armour is pulling out all the stops to make the week a memorable one. They’re setting up shop at the MLB Assembly space, providing an experience that offers collaborative custom apparel, a design-your-own-sneaker colorway experience that includes both the Curry 1 Low and the Curry 5 with exclusive color palates, and most notably an event-only colorway of the Curry 1 Low that’ll only be available during the week leading up to the All-Star game.
The special All-Star Game Curry 1 Low features a bright ombre-style upper that starts with a bright yellow on the toebox that gives way to a blazing orange on the midfoot. A black tongue, sockliner, and midsole provide contrast, and the shoe is completed with a semi-translucent outsole. On the other hand, the customizable sneakers—silhouettes that range from Currys to UA RailFits and more—feature a white base with multi-color detailing designed by Spanish artist Andreea Robescu for a head-turning summertime look.
The pop-up will be open from July 13th-July 17th at MLB Assembly on DC’s District Pier at The Warf. Can’t make it to the capitol and still want to customize some kicks? You’ll be able to utilize the same special Assembly prints on UA’s website for the duration of the pop-up as well. Enjoy images of the customization options below, and let us know what you think of these special-edition UA kicks.
