First Look At The Nike Zoom Fly SP Fast

First Look At The Nike Zoom Fly SP Fast

The Nike Zoom Fly SP has always been a shoe inspired by and designed speed. Originally released as part of the Swoosh Brand’s Breaking2 initiative—a project that aimed to help world-class runners break the 2 hour mark in a marathon for the first time ever—the speedy shoe has since branched out and become a key player in the lifestyle market as well due to its sleek look, just as appealing in the streets as on the track. Now, the Zoom Fly is taking the next stride in its journey as a new take on the shoe inspired by early design prototypes has been unveiled: the Zoom Fly SP Fast.

Debuting in two colorways—a yellow/gum and an ice blue/grey—the reworked Zoom Fly features the same shape and much of the same detailing as the original release. However, there are some differences: military-style text appears on the tongue, the track stripe pattern on the upper has been replaced with a flecked design, and the normal large lateral swoosh that wraps onto the toebox is replaced by a more regular-size iteration that sits firmly on the midfoot. For a final different touch, the usual colored plate in the midsole is swapped out for a more tonal version. Enjoy a full set of images for both new colorways below, and expect a release on Nike SNKRS August 30th.
